Female Producers:
Speculations and Reflections

Sheryl Crow

I don't really care about Sheryl Crow, but I love the fact that she expanded her lyrical depth from "All I really wanna do is have some fun..." to covering smart-aleck Bob Dylan on her Globe Sessions record. Since I didn't care about her, I almost didn't read this article about her in a musician magazine, but she talked about producing throughout the whole article so I figured I would read it. It was fascinating. She was talking about her Neve console and all the equipment that she used. I really can't remember what the heck she talked about, but the main point was that she was passionate about she herself making the record sound good.
