Notes of All Sorts

Thank you Ginger for providing us with the "Healing Waters" quote by Michelle Tumes.

The contributors to Christian Music Summary will now be listed! I think it will be interesting to see the names toward the top of the issue, so you will get to know your favorite contributors. If you write an article, you'll be listed under "Main Contributor." I'm hoping this might encourage your involvement with the list!

Re: The new Avalon album (IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT) Ginger says, "it rocks!" So you might want to check it out.

Don't forget the Prayer Artist of April: the Insyderz This is your last chance (to pray for them this April at least)!

The deadline is approaching! But you can still take the CCM DL Con-TEST at: https://members.tripod.com/~allisoncm/ccmdl/1999ccmdl-contest.html Enter to win a Christian music album.

Chasing Furies' WITH ABANDON Review

Should you get the Chasing Furies' WITH ABANDON? Well, this album has a couple really cool tracks. The first track ("Thicker") is reminiscent to a Velour 100 kind of sound. Then there's "Enchanted", a great song that everyone is bound to like. The others are pretty decent, but none of the others stand out or grab you.

Rachel, Sarah, and Joshua Meeker are the members of the Chasing Furies and yes, they're related. They're siblings! They originally meant to be a mainstream group, but Sparrow offered them a contract, and they certainly didn't refuse. I think if they keep at it they will grow artistically and will have something greater to offer.

Heather Floyd is...

Well, let's see. Heather Floyd is...a great singer, a member of Point of Grace, a skilled driver, getting married, she's also...wait GETTING MARRIED!??!!? The remaining, sole survivor of singlehood in Point of Grace is engaged? Getting married? I am SO sorry for all you single guys out there who loved her. Please don't continue loving Heather, now, please.

Responses To TELL ME

A. What is your favorite artist?

(Christina S.) It's a massive tie between polarboy and skillet right now. I also like Matchbox 20 a whole lot.

(David G.) Whiteheart

(Jeff R.) The Insyderz

(Ginger) My favorite artist, hmmmm, I like a lot of artists, but I like Michael W. Smith, puts on an awesome concert (I've been to two of them :) ) and he was my "first love" artist.

B. What artist would you like to see in concert that you haven't seen already?

(Christina S.) Well, as of three days ago, that would have been polarboy.. but :-) I FINALLY got to see them right here in Nashville for GMA week. It's actually just finishing up now and it was so much fun!! Anyway, I was privileged enough to catch them twice this week, they did a small acoustic set in a hotel room for one of them, that rocked! I guess my answer would be skillet becuase unfortunately, I missed them just last night. I didn't know where they were playing, so I ended up going to the Tooth and Nail showcase!!

(David G.) Plumb

(Jeff R.) The W's

(Ginger) definately Steven Curtis Chapman, second choice DC Talk.
